Here comes one of our favorite couples this year – Liz and Cam. They had a classic Chicago wedding at the beautiful Union League Club. The rain and the cold didn’t hold back our couple to go to the wonderful Art Institute Gardens to have their portrait images taken there. We absolutely LOVED every bit of this gorgeous wedding. Congrats to our sweet lovebirds!
One year ago around this time we shot Tieg and Nick’s fall engagement, which you can view here. This year we had the pleasure to be part of their big day! They had a wonderful outdoor celebration at Kemper Lakes Golf Club followed by a reception full of fun. Congrats to the both of you!
Here comes one of our favorite couples – Katie and Kyle! Though they grew up miles apart – New Zealand and US – they found each other’s love here in Chicago. They got married in the heart of Chicago downtown at the brand new Wyndham with a touch of vintage. Congratulations to the both of them!
So excited to share our ‘Blushing Mint’ wedding editorial on the blog today. Thank you so much to Wedding Sparrow for featuring it yesterday! You can see more of the ideas and inspiration behind this wedding editorial here.
Jessica and David had an extravagant wedding in downtown Chicago. They held their ceremony at the beautiful St. James Chapel and the reception was at the grand Palmer House Hilton Empire Room. They chose a color theme that was royal – burgundy red and gold.
The table was decorated with pink and ivory colored roses with stood in contrast to the burgundy red table linens.
The bride’s bouquet was filled with ivory roses and orchids decorated with silver crystals.
To match the theme the wedding cake was also filled with sugar coated orchids. Her beautiful ballroom gown matched their whole wedding theme. The bridesmaids wore deep purple lace dresses, which so beautifully matched the purple light during the ceremony. Since Jessica so loves elephants they displayed an elephant family made of mums for the cocktail table. The elephant theme continued through the reception by displaying a huge elephant statue made of ice. Next to the ice elephant there was a fish ice statue with caviar served – indeed a royal wedding day not to be forgotten!
